Description:
CHS002 is a covered electrode with titanium-calcium type coating for welding
extra-low carbon stainless steels. The weld metal shows very good resistance to
inter-crystalline corrosion for the carbon content in it is <= 0.04%. The arc
stability is marvelous when AC is used though both AC and DC are suitable.
All positions welding are good, arc is smooth, spatter is small, surface of weld
is looked well, and the coating flux of electrode is stronger. Before
welding, the weld metal must be clear away impurities, such as oil, rust,
moisture etc., and the electrode should be baked at the temperature from 250oC
to 300oC for 1 hour. In welding, should use small current and
short arc, and swaying broad less than 2.5 times of diameter of the electrode is
better.

Applications:
Welding of extra-low carbon Cr18Ni9 stainless steel, Also
welding of 0Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel structures, which working conditions need
to be resistance corrosion and temperature is below 300oC.
Mainly be used in equipment fabrication of synthetic fiber, fertilizer,
petroleum & chemical industry etc.
