Description:
CHC308 is a covered electrode with pure nickel core and graphitic coating for welding
cast iron. Both AC
and DC are applicable. It shows perfect performance in welding of arc stability,
fine drops transition, well-distributed slag, good-looking of surface of weld,
easily merchantable, etc. The electrodes must be baked at a temperature
80oC -120oC for 1 hour before welding. In welding, lower current is
recommended as it has great operating and it could avoid bad influence at high current,
meanwhile, hammering the deposited metal to dispel stress around the welding
region and to avoid crackles.
|
Applications:
Repair welding cracked or worn castings, such as air
pressure cylinder lids, wheel boxes, guide rails of machine tools, as well as joining
cast iron parts to components made of steel, copper and nickel materials.
